Each flower is 2-3 inches across and are daisy-like, with 12-25 ray florets.

|Habitat||This large plant prefers full sun and mesic to dry soils. Matures more quickly than its cousins, Prairie Dock and Compass Plant. It has an upright form and grows from its base and is not a big spreader. A pollen and nectar source for many bees, and seeds for Goldfinches.|
|Leaf Description||Leaves are opposite, 5" long and 2.5" wide ovate with pointed ends. There are hairs on both upper and lower sides of the leaves making them rough, like sand paper.|
